Children's cancer nonprofit group seeks donations

ALISO VIEJO – Savannah's Organic Ranch, an Aliso Viejo nonprofit group that builds gardens at schools, is asking for monetary donations.

The group provides portable DVD players to children with cancer to make the hours they spend waiting at the hospital more bearable. The Sachen family started the group in memory of their daughter, Savannah, who dreamed of starting an organic farm. She died in 2007 after fighting cardiac sarcoma, or cancer of the heart, for three years.
