Man charged after shoplifting incident Posted: 08 Nov 2010 05:45 AM PST By Daily News StaffPosted 5 hours agoTILBURY — Chatham-Kent police charged a 52-year-old Chatham man with theft and possession of stolen property after a shoplifting complaint Sunday. Police said a man was allegedly spotted removing two portable DVD players from his coat at Canadian Tire on Mill Street. He left the store and an employee believed he had additional concealed merchandise and asked him to return to the store. The man did and asked to use the washroom, where he allegedly disposed of two more portable DVD players, police said.He was held for bail.
