Thieves strike unlocked cars, steal DVD players

MANATEE — Thieves stole two DVD players, an umbrella stand and an umbrella from unlocked cars along the 3400 block of 34th Street East and the 3800 block of 30th Lane East between 9 p.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday, according to a Sheriff's Office report.

A suspect was captured on video removing some of the items, the report states.

Latent prints were also recovered, the report adds.
